This month’s project is the accordion book. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. You can be creative with your book. You can use ribbons, buttons, and anything you can find within reason. This project is relaxing and fun. Accordion books are good gifts. This is a project you can do with your friends and family. Here is how to make your accordion book..
- Card stock
- Hot glue gun
- Two pieces of cardboard for the book covers and back
- Scrapbook paper, paint, markers, and wire. Use your imagination!
Step 1: Cut a piece of card stock in half lengthwise to make in two long, skinny rectangles.
Step 2: Fold the card stock in half width wise. Next fold the top flap in half again & align the bottom edge to the top crease. Flip it over & do the same to the other side. Your card stock should resemble a ‘W’ when finished.
Step 4: Next take your two pieces of cardboard & decorate them. This will be your book cover & the back of your book.Glue the card board on paper & cut the corners. Next fold the paper and & glue it down.
Step 5: Glue your cover to each end of the paper accordion book. Now you can fill up you book. It’s time to decorate!
Tip 1: You may need to put your book between two books to flatten it out.
Tip 2: You need a hot glue gun too.
Tip 3: Decorate your book any way your imagination takes you. You can also use your own pictures. You can paint small canvases to be your covers of your books. Be creative with your accordion book.
