History

The Art Experience (TAE) was founded in 1996 by six art and art therapy students who  believed that the creative process had the power to transform lives. The studio welcomed all members of the community, encouraged creativity, and sharing with others. Staff provided encouragement, while guiding guests beyond their comfort zone into their own creativity. 

TAE is still known for its supportive environment and allowing community need to shape its programming.

Experiences include specialized programs for individuals with special needs, inclusive community programs, college internships, exhibits, an outdoor festival called Art Fish Fun, and other special events.

TAE is an inspiring place where all are valued for their abilities and the curiosity that drives creative endeavor.
