Lisa Bennett, AT - R

Lisa (she/her) has always found comfort and pleasure in the art making process and that led to her completing her B.F.A. in Fine Arts from Wayne State University in 2012. While balancing family, study, and her own business, Lisa pursued and obtained an M.Ed. in Art Therapy from Wayne State University in 2019, and in 2022 was credentialed as a Registered Art Therapist. 

From 2018-2023, Ms. Bennett was TAE’s Program Coordinator, expanding all of our offerings to the community and our network of artists, and in the summer of 2023 is transitioning to a new role as Art Therapy Program Director. 

As Art Therapy Program Director, Lisa will focus on planning, staffing and/or facilitating Art Therapy programs, including TAE’s Create: Connection series, for the community and specific populations, which uses the art making process to help participants reach their social, emotional, and therapeutic goals.
